Device-defined configuration tags (integer)

The set of tags associated with a device depends on the device type and the communication format. For each operational mode, integer or floating point, there are three sets of tags:
  • Input
  • Output
  • Configuration
This table includes the configuration tags for the 1756 analog input devices operating in integer mode.

 - Determines how often the input signal is to be sampled in terms of milliseconds.
ModuleFilter

Module Filte
r - Configures the module filter value for all channels on the module and provides superior frequency filtering at the selected value and its harmonics.
  • 0 = 10 Hz
  • 1 = 50 Hz
  • 2 = 60 Hz
  • 3 = 100 Hz
  • 4 = 250 Hz
  • 5 = 1,000 Hz

Range Type
 - Configures the channel’s input range which determines the signal range the input channel can detect. Input range values are:
  • 0 = -10 to 10V
  • 1 = 0 to 5V
  • 2 = 0 to 10V
  • 3 = 0 to 20 mA
