Designated Use
The measuring device described in these Operating Instructions is to be used only for
measuring the mass flow rate of liquids and gases. At the same time, the system also
measures fluid density and fluid temperature. These parameters are then used to calculate
other variables such as volume flow. Fluids with widely differing properties can be
measured.
Examples:
- Chocolate, condensed milk, liquid sugar
- Oils, fats
- Acids, alkalis, lacquers, paints, solvents and cleaning agents
- Pharmaceuticals, catalysts, inhibitors
- Suspensions
- Gases, liquefied gases, etc.
Resulting from incorrect use or from use other than that designated the operational safety
of the measuring devices can be suspended. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages
being produced from this.
Connection versions
The measuring device can be connected to the EtherNet/IP network in one of three ways.
Refer to the “Supplementary Documentation” for information on how to connect the device to
an EtherNet/IP network.
Measuring device
The measuring device has an Ethernet module to connect it to an EtherNet/IP network and for
connecting to the integrated Webserver. It uses the EtherNet/IP communication protocol
(Ethernet Industrial Protocol) in accordance with the ODVA specification.
Data
The main measuring values are transmitted via EtherNet/IP communication. The sequence of
the input and output values can be configured via the local display as well as via the
integrated Webserver. Refer to the “Supplementary Documentation” for further
information.
