Configuration

Add-on-Profile (AOP)

The module functionality is configured through a custom, separately-installable Add-on-Profile within RSLogix 5000 Software. When a module from the RSLogix 5000 Select Module dialog is added to the project tree, the following items are created in the project:
  • a custom Module-Defined Data Type, and corresponding Input, Output Tags
  • a producer/consumer IO connection using the modules specific IO assemblies and sizes.

DIP Switches for hardware addressing

The IP address of the measuring device can be configured for the EtherNet/IP network using the DIP switches. Addresses in the range from 0 to 254 are permitted (the address 255 is reserved for the broadcast address).
The IP address for software addressing is active when the device leaves the factory (default IP address: 192.168.1.212), i.e. all the DIP switches for hardware addressing are set to OFF.
Switches 1-8 configure the last three digits (last octet) of the IP address. The first three octets can be configured via software addressing to reflect the desired hardware IP address.
