Internet Protocol - Module view
Use the
Internet Protocol - Module
view to configure the Internet
Protocol (IP) settings for a device. The settings define how data is routed to and from the
device, and within the network. You can:
- Select the desired configuration mode for the device.
- Enter the IP settings if using the manual configuration option.
- View the IP settings.
- Refresh communication to obtain the latest port configuration setting information from the device.
Configure the IP settings manually or obtain them automatically using either the BOOTP or
DHCP protocol, depending on the device.
TIP:
Use the switches on the device to set the IP address. If using this method, see the label
on the side of the device for more information on switch setting, and the resulting IP
address, subnet mask, and gateway address.
