HMI text for PPERM instructions

Use the
HMI
tab of the
PPERM Properties
dialog box to enter information provided by the Process Permissives (PPERM) instruction to label HMI faceplates.
To enter HMI text for PPERM instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>

  2. Open the
    HMI
    tab.
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Library name
      . The text used for associating instructions with display library for faceplate call-up.
    • Instruction name
      . The text used for associating the instruction name for faceplate call-up.
    • Display label
      . The label to show on the graphic HMI symbol.
    • Area name for security
      . The area name for area-based security scheme adopted in HMI.
    • Help button URL
      . The user-defined URL for accessing help from the HMI.
    • Enable navigation to an object with more information
      . Select the check box and then type the name of the object to navigate to if object with more information is enabled.
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Off, Pulse on, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Feedback fault or I/O fault.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
