Monitor a data file

To monitor a data file, follow these steps:
  1. From
    RSWho
, click the plus sign (+) to the left of the network that contains the processor for which you want to view the data file list. Clicking the plus sign (+) expands the network so you can view all processors and workstations contained on that network.
  2. Select the processor for which you want to view the data file list.
  3. Right-click and select
    Data Monitor
. The Data file list window displays the list of available data files for the selected processor. If you right-click on a processor and the Data Monitor selection does not display in the menu, data monitoring is not currently supported for that processor. You can display multiple instances of a processor’s data file list by returning to RSWho, selecting the processor, right-clicking, and selecting Data Monitor again.
  4. From the data file list, double-click the data file for which you wish to monitor values. The Data table window for the specified data file appears.
IMPORTANT: You can monitor multiple data files or multiple instances of the same data file at the same time by returning to the data file list and double-clicking multiple data files or double-clicking the data file again.
