Tags from OPC UA Servers do not appear in the Tag Browser
Possible cause and solution:
- The Tag Browser is browsing tags from an application that does not have aFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector.AFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector only provides tags to a singleFactoryTalkapplication. To use the same tags in multiple applications, create oneFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector in each application, and connect the sameOPCUA Servers to eachFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector.
- TheFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector is unable to communicate with theOPCUA Server.See "Unable to connect from aFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector to anOPCUA Server".
- The data type of theOPCUA node is not supported.Change the data type of theOPCUA node to a supported type.Run a tag analysis to determine which tags are unsupported:
- InExplorer, right-click the, then selectFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA ConnectorProperties.
- Select, select theOPCUA Serversfrom the list.OPCUA Server
- InProperties, selectAnalyze Tag Names.
- TheFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector has not completed uploading theOPCUA Server namespace.View the date and time that the tags were last refreshed:
- InExplorer, right-click the, then selectFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA ConnectorProperties.
- Select, select theOPCUA Serversfrom the list.OPCUA Server
- InProperties, viewTag Information > Refresh Tag Names. If a spinning wheel icon and the text "Refreshing" appears next toRefresh Tag Names, the namespace upload is not complete. Wait for the upload to complete, then try browsing tags again.
- TheOPCUA Server namespace is out of date.Refresh the list of tag names from theOPCUA Server:
- InExplorer, right-click the, then selectFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA ConnectorProperties.
- Select, select theOPCUA Serversfrom the list.OPCUA Server
- InProperties, selectRefresh Tag Names.
- InRefresh Tag Names, selectContinue with reset.
- TheOPCUA Server does not support subscriptions.Change theOPCUA Server software to a server that supports subscriptions. Use the documentation provided with theOPCUA Server software to determine if it supports subscriptions.
