Validate a policy model
Validate a policy model to confirm that all devices are operational and have network access.
- From the toolbar, selectValidateand then select either:
- CIP Security protocolto validate connections betweenCIP Securitysystem components.For more information, see CIP security policy.
- OPC UA protocolto validate connections betweenOPC UAsystem components.For more information, see OPC UA security policy.
- (administrators only)CIP Redundancy (IP Swapping Mode)to validate connections between Redundant Chassis Pairs.For more information, see Redundancy system.
TIP: You can stop the validation process at any time by pressingSTOP VALIDATIONin the status bar.Resultsdisplay any potential information messages, warnings, or errors. - (optional) Save the validation results by selecting.
Save
If devices reject incoming connections with error
0x090C
due
to a certificate chain issue or report insufficient file space, do the following:- Delete the problematic devices from the policy model. See Delete a device.
- Deploy the policy model.
- Add the devices back to the policy model. See Add a device.
- Validate the policy model again.
