Restore a policy model

Restore
FactoryTalk System Services
to return the
FactoryTalk System Services
databases to a known good state.
  1. Verify the
    FTSS_Backup.7z
    file is present in this location
    C:\ProgramData\Rockwell\RNAServer\Global\RnaStore\FTSS_Backup
  2. Open the command prompt as an Administrator.
  3. In the command prompt, change the directory by running:
    cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\FactoryTalk System Services"
  4. Restore data from the backup by running:
    FTSSBackupRestore -R -P "
    password
    "
    Where
    password
    is the password used to decrypt the backup file.
    TIP: Quotation marks for
    password
    are optional.
    password
    is required to restore data from the backup.
    Data is restored from the encrypted backup.
IMPORTANT:
If you restored a policy model backed up in
FactoryTalk Policy Manager
lower than 6.50.00 with configured redundant pairs
:
  1. Delete the configured redundant 1756-EN4TR devices from the policy model. See Delete a device.
  2. Deploy the policy model. See Deploy a policy model.
  3. Add back the 1756-EN4TR devices and configure their IP Swapping Mode. See Add redundancy-capable devices.
  4. Deploy the policy model again. See Deploy a policy model.
