Hyperlink descriptors and defaults

Hyperlinks are the means by which
FactoryTalk® Batch View™
 can map equipment to the appropriate
FactoryTalk Batch View
 directory. If a hyperlink value is not defined, either as a default or when the specific resource type instance is created, the hyperlink label is not visible in
e

TIP: The
Hyperlink descriptors and defaults
 area is only accessible if, from the
General
 tab, you selected the
Enable FactoryTalk eProcedure
 option. Refer to the for more hyperlink information.
You can define up to five hyperlinks per resource type.
Define hyperlinks
  1. Open
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
     and sign into the
    FactoryTalk
     Network Directory.
  2. In
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    Explorer
    , do one of the following:
    • For a new
      FactoryTalk Batch
       Server, right-click the application or the area name and select
      Add New Server
      FactoryTalk Batch Server
      .
    • For an existing
      FactoryTalk Batch
       Server, expand the application or the area name, right-click the server, and select
      Properties
      .
  3. In the
    FactoryTalk Batch Services Properties
     dialog, select the
    Descriptors and Defaults
     tab.
  4. In the
    Hyperlink descriptors and defaults
     area,
    Resource types
     dropdown list, select the appropriate type (
    Phase
    ,
    Process Cell
    ,
    Resource
    , or
    Unit
    ).
  5. In the
    Descriptors
     area, enter up to five hyperlink URL labels for the selected
    Resource type
    .
  6. In the
    Default values
     area, enter the default hyperlink URL associated with each defined
    Descriptor
    .
  7. Select
    Apply
     to save the data in the
    Descriptors and Defaults
     tab.
