Device Definition view

This view displays the basic status information about the device.
The Device Definition view consists of the device configuration parameters.

Description
Device type
Static field that displays the connected device type:
  • 100-E-INT-X EtherNet/IP in-cabinet Non-Reversing Starter Interface
  • 104-E-INT-X EtherNet/IP in-cabinet Reversing Starter Interface
Name
A text field for a user-defined name.
Description
A text field for a user-defined description.
IP address
A unique address to identify the node. Select 2 to 40 from the drop-down list.
TIP: Node address 1 is reserved for the Gateway.
Series
Select the letter designation for the device series from the drop-down list.
Revision
Select the major and minor revision from the drop-down lists.
Electronic keying
This control allows you to set the electronic keying type for comparing the project device with a physical device before initiating I/O communication. Electronic keying relies on unique attributes specific to each product version.
Disable Keying:
  • When "Disable Keying" is selected, communication occurs regardless of whether the keying parameters match.
Exact Match:
  • The "Exact Match" setting prevents communication if any of the following parameters do not match:
    • VendorID
    • Device Type
    • Product Code
    • Revision
Compatible Module:
  • If the "Compatible Module" option is selected, communication occurs when the following parameters match:
    • VendorID
    • Device Type
    • Product Code
  • The Major revision must be the same or higher, while the Minor revision depends on the Major revision.
Circuit protector
Select the type of circuit protector connected to the communication interface, 140ME or E100 type.
Values are:
  • E100 0.1 - 0.5A
  • E100 0.2 - 1.0A
  • E100 1.0 - 5.0A
  • E100 3.2 - 16A
  • E100 5.4 - 27A
  • E100 11 - 55A
  • E100 13.2 – 66A
  • E100 20 - 100A
  • 140ME 1A
  • 140ME 2.5A
  • 140ME 6.3A
  • 140ME 16A
  • 140ME 40A
  • 140ME 55A
  • 140ME 80A
Contactor
Static field that displays the 100-E/104-E-INT-X contactor rating (amps) connected to the communication interface.
