Configure Peer Commands

Peer commands are configured in a Commands Configuration wizard.
To configure peer commands
  1. Click
    Add
     if no commands are configured, or click
    Edit
     icon if commands are already configured.
    The Peer Commands dialog appears. It shows all mandatory and optional peer commands under the Select command in the peer command configuration wizard.
  2. Select the
    Peer
     device.
    Any Rockwell Ethernet/IP in-cabinet device may be selected as a Peer. The Peer device has to be added first to the I/O Configuration. The displayed commands available will depend on the Peer device selection.
    Only devices in the same bus and under the same parent device of the Project Topology can be selected.
  3. Select the
    Trigger
     condition, which controls if the device will know if the selected mode/function should be activated, based on the Trigger parameters.
    TIP:
    Trigger conditions are be indicated in the Peer command view as follows:

  4. Select the
    Trigger
     parameters.
    • The
      Peer Status
       and
      Peer Warning
       selections vary, depending on the device selected and the Controlled by setting.
    • The
      Enable Off Peer Command
       selects if the
      Off
       command is to be configured. Off command refers to a switch input for HOA.
  5. Click
    Next
    .
  6. Configure the remaining device parameters in the Peer communication settings.

    Values
    Revision
    Drop-down list to select major and minor revisions.
    Only values associated with the peer device are shown.
    Data rate
    Spinner control to set the data rate.
    20.0 ms to 1000.0 ms.
    Electronic keying
    Drop-down list.
    • Exact Match
    • Compatible Module
    • Disable Keying
    • Exact Match without Revision.
  7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 for each command.
