Calibration Wizard parameters (input devices)

Calibration Wizard
for input devices includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Channel
Displays the channel number to which this configuration applies.
Calibrate
Identifies the channels for calibration.
Select the checkbox for the channel that you want to calibrate.
Calibration Range
Shows the value of Calibration Range as
4 mA to 20 mA
.
Calibration Status
Shows the status of the calibration per channel as the calibration occurs.
Low/High Reference
Indicates the calibration type.
The low reference is calibrated at a low calibration point and the high reference is calibrated at a high calibration point.
Depending upon the mode of calibration (low or high), you must attach the input source to the device. The device reads this value and performs calibration.
The low reference and high reference input sources are as follows:
  • Current
    : 4 mA (low) and 20 mA (high)
Status
Displays the results of the calibration process:
  • OK
    - Indicates that all the channels calibrate successfully.
  • Error
    - Indicates channels fail to calibrate. Investigate the channels with errors, and then select
    Retry
    .
