ChX view parameters (thermocouple devices)

The
ChX
view for input devices includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Input Type
Indicates the
Thermocouple
input type.
Sensor Type
Determines the sensor type. Available values are:
  • mV (no linearization)
  • Type B
  • Type C
  • Type E
  • Type J
  • Type K (default)
  • Type N
  • Type R
  • Type S
  • Type T
Input Range
Indicates the input range as -75 mV to 75 mV.
Temperature Units
Select the temperature type. Available values are:
  • Custom
  • Celsius (default)
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Temperature Units
is only disabled in Run mode.
Engineering Units
Shows the unit of measurement for
High Engineering
and
Low Engineering
and for the channel’s input value.
High Signal
Displays the high signal value.
Low Signal
Displays the low signal value.
High Engineering
Choose the appropriate scaling high units. Set the value between -32768 and 32767. The default value is 1000.
High Engineering
is disabled in Run mode and when
Temperature Unit
is set to one of these values:
  • Celsius
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Low Engineering
Choose the appropriate scaling low units. Set a value between -32768 and 32767. The default value is 0.
Low Engineering
is disabled in Run mode and when
Temperature Unit
is set to one of these values:
  • Celsius
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Notch Filter
Choose the desired filter frequency for the device.
The available values for each channel are:
  • 50 Hz
  • 60 Hz (default)
  • 100 Hz
  • 120 Hz
  • 200 Hz
  • 240 Hz
  • 300 Hz
  • 400 Hz
  • 480 Hz
Digital Filter
Specifies the desired filter time constant, in milliseconds (ms). Set the value between 0 (default) and 10,000.
