ChX view parameters (RTD devices)

The
ChX
 view for input devices includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Input Type
Indicates the
RTD
 input type.
Sensor Type
Specifies the sensor type. Available values are:
  • Ohms
  • 100 ohms Pt 385 (default)
These values are available for the 1734-IR2 device only:
  • 200 ohms Pt 385
  • 100 ohms Pt 3916
  • 200 ohms Pt 3916
  • 10 ohms Cu 427
  • 120 ohms Ni 672
  • 100 ohms Ni 618
  • 120 ohms Ni 618
Sensor Type
 is only disabled in Run mode.
Input Range
Indicates the input range as follows:
  • 0 ohms to 600 ohms
     (1734-IR2, 1738-IR2IM12)
  • 0 ohms to 220 ohms
     (1734-IR2E)
Temperature Units
Choose the temperature type. Available values are:
  • Custom
  • Celsius (default)
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Temperature Units
 is only disabled in Run mode.
Engineering Units
Shows the unit of measurement for
High Engineering
 and
Low Engineering
 and for the channel’s input value.
High Signal
Displays the high signal value.
Low Signal
Displays the low signal value.
High Engineering
Specifies the appropriate scaling high units.
Set the value between -32768 and 32767. The default value is 500 (1734-IR2, 1738-IR2IM12) and 300 (1734-IR2E).
High Engineering
 is disabled in Run mode and when
Temperature Unit
 is set to one of these values:
  • Celsius
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Low Engineering
Specifies the appropriate scaling low units.
Set the value between -32768 and 32767. The default value is 0.
Low Engineering
 is disabled in Run mode and when
Temperature Unit
 is set to one of these values:
  • Celsius
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Digital Filter
Specifies the desired filter time constant, in milliseconds (ms). Set the value between 0 (default) and 10,000.
