Channels view parameters (RTD devices)

The
Channels
view for RTD devices includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Channel
Displays the channel number to which this configuration applies.
Input Type
Indicates the
RTD
input type.
Input Range
Indicates the input range as follows:
  • 0 ohms to 600 ohms
    (1734-IR2, 1738-IR2IM12)
  • 0 ohms to 220 ohms
    (1734-IR2E)
High Signal
Displays the high signal values.
Low Signal
Displays the low signal values.
Units (Signal)
Shows the unit of measurement for
High Signal
and
Low Signal
.
High Engineering
Specifies the appropriate scaling high units.
Set the value between -32768 and 32767. The default value is 500 (1734-IR2, 1738-IR2IM12) and 300 (1734-IR2E).
High Engineering
is disabled in Run mode and when
Temperature Unit
is set to one of these values:
  • Celsius
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Low Engineering
Specifies the appropriate scaling low units.
Set the value between -32768 and 32767. The default value is 0.
Low Engineering
is disabled in Run mode and when
Temperature Unit
is set to one of these values:
  • Celsius
  • Fahrenheit
  • Kelvin
  • Rankine
Units (Engineering)
Shows the unit of measurement for
High Engineering
and
Low Engineering
and for the channel’s input value.
Digital Filter
Specifies the desired filter time constant, in milliseconds (ms). Set the value between 0 (default) and 10,000.
Digital Filter
is only disabled in Run mode.
Disable Alarms
Determines whether process alarms are generated.
  • If selected, the device does not generate process alarms.
  • If cleared, the device generates process alarms.
