The
Channel 1 - DH485
view includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Station Address
Displays station number of channel. Valid values are from 0 through 31. The default is 0.
Max Station Address
Specifies the maximum node address of all the devices on the DH485 network. Valid values are from 0 through 31. The default is 31.
To optimize network performance, make sure:
  • The maximum node address is the highest node number being used on the network.
  • All the devices on the same DH485 network have the same maximum node address.
Tip: Value 0 means there is only 1 device (5069-SERIAL) in DH485 token ring network.
Token Hold Factor
Number of transmissions plus retries that a node holding a token can send onto the data link each time it receives the token. Valid values are from 1 through 4. The default is 1.
Error Detection
Determines method for error detection. Options include:
  • BCC
  • CRC
Enable Duplicate Detection
Select to enable duplicate detection.
Diagnostics
When online, opens the diagnostics dialog box to view diagnostic counters for performance and error management with Channel 1 - DH485.
