The
Points
 view includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Point
Displays the point number to which this configuration applies.
Point Operation Type
Determines whether the points function individually or as connection pairs.
  • Single – Treat output as one channel.
  • Dual – Treat outputs as a matched pair. Safety logic simultaneously sets both of these outputs to On or Off. If this action fails, the module declares a channel fault.
Point Mode
Defines the mode of the point.
  • Not Used – The output is not used.
  • Safety – The output is a safety output.
  • Safety Pulse Test – Use the output as a safety output and test the safety output itself using an internally generated test pulse. Pulse testing detects shorts to the 24V power supply and channel-to-channel shorts. The pulse test only occurs when the point is On. The pulse has a fixed state of periodic.
Enable No Load Diagnostics
Enable or Disable No Load Diagnostics for the output point.
When enabled, No Load Diagnostic is performed if output is Off.
Diagnostics
Open the Diagnostics dialog, which contains diagnostic information.
Latch Fault until Reset via Output Tag
Enable or disable latching fault until reset via output tag.
  • Disabled – A recoverable channel fault is only cleared when all following conditions are true:
    • The fault condition is removed.
    • The commanded output in the output tag is low.
    • One second of fault latching time is expired. If the fault is overload, the fault latching time is ten seconds before attempting to recover.
  • Enabled – A recoverable channel fault is only cleared when all following conditions are true:
    • The fault condition is removed.
    • A 0 to 1 transition of ResetFault in the output tag is received.
