Scaling and the scaling equation

Input scaling allows the translation of electrical signal units into engineering units. The module returns the High Engineering value when the High Signal value is present at the input. Similarly, the module returns the Low Engineering value when the Low Signal is present and all other values in a linear fashion, depending on the signal present at the input.
For voltage input types, scaling is defaulted to a 1:1 relationship between the signal values and the engineering units, allowing the module to return the actual value of the signal present on the input.
For current input types, scaling is defaulted to return 0...100% for a corresponding 4...20 mA or 0...20 mA signal on the input.
For RTD and Thermocouple input types, scaling values display units based on sensor type or temperature units (°F, °C, K, or °R) when the selected sensor type is not Ohms or mV.
High Signal values must be greater than Low Signal values.
