PtXX - Output, PWM view parameters

Pulse Width Modulation
Parameter
Description
Enable Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)
Determines whether the output is Pulse Width Modulation or Digital Output.
Enforce Duty Cycel at 50.0% for Pulse Train Output (PTO)
Determines whether to enforce the PTO specific duty cycle, which is fixed at 50%. If enabled, O.Pwmxx.DutyCycle is ignored.
Enable Cycle Count Limit
Determines whether to generate a defined number of pulse cycles when there is a rising edge in the data or continuous pulse cycles when data is On.
  • 0 = Pulse cycles continue to occur until O.Ptxx.Data is set to 0.
  • 1 = Allow only a fixed number of pulse cycles to occur when there is a rising edge in O.Ptxx.Data.
Execute All Cycles
Only applicable when Enable Cycle Count Limit is enabled.
When O.Ptxx.Data transitions to 0:
  • 0 = Stop generating pulses immediately
  • 1 = Continue generating pules until the Pulse determined in
    Cycle Count Limit
    is reached
Cycle Time
Determines the period in seconds of one pulse cycle. The valid range for the corresponding output tag O.Pwmxx.CycleTime is from -3.4e+38 through 3.4e+38.
Duty Cycle
Determines the percentage of the pulse cycle time when the output is in an active state.
Cycle Count Limit
Determines the number of pulse cycles to generate when there is a rising edge in the data.
This parameter is available only when
Enable Cycle Count Limit
is selected.
Output State in Program Mode
Parameter
Description
Program state
Determines the behavior of each output when the controller transitions to Program mode.
When Communication Fails in Program Mode
Parameter
Description
Leave outputs in Program Mode state
Leaves output in Program mode state when communications fail in Program mode.
Change outputs to Communication Fault Mode state
Changes output to Communication Fault mode state when communications fail in Program mode.
Output State in Communication Fault Mode
Parameter
Description
Communication fault state
Determines what happens to the output of each point after a communication fault occurs and the device enters Communications Fault mode.
Communication fault state duration
Determines the length of time the output state is held before transitioning to the Final Fault State.
Final communication fault state
Determines whether the device transitions to On or Off after the Fault Mode Output State Duration elapses. The default final state is Off. If you choose Forever for Duration, the Final State setting is ignored and the device retains its current Fault mode state.
