Use the

Change type

dialog box to change the device type or revision.

On the tab for the device, select

Overview

In the

Overview

view, select

Device definition

, select

Change type

, in the

section, specify the device type and revision as needed.

TIP:

Changing device type will change, delete, and/or invalidate the device properties that are not valid for the new device type.

Select

to finalize the changes and exit the dialog box.
