HART Command view parameters

The
HART Command
 view includes these parameters.
Parameter
Description
Enable HART Device PV Damping Configuration (Command 34)
Indicates that the HART Field Device is automatically configured using the value entered in
PV Damping
. The device sends Command 34 to the Field Device connected to the channel when the device is connected.
PV Damping
 is not available when this checkbox is cleared.
PV Damping
Specifies the PV Damping value for the HART Field Device.
Enable HART Device PV Range Configuration (Command 35, Command 47)
Indicates that the HART Field Device is configured using the values entered in these boxes:
  • PV Units
  • PV Upper Range
  • PV Lower Range
  • PV Transfer Function
When the checkbox is cleared, these parameters are not available:
  • PV Units
  • PV Upper Range
  • PV Lower Range
  • PV Transfer Function
PV Units
Indicates the units for the
PV Upper Range
 and
PV Lower Range
.
Select (
...
) to select the units for the PV range.
PV Upper Range
Specifies the PV upper range.
The value must be greater than or equal to
PV Lower Range
.
PV Lower Range
Specifies the PV lower range.
The value must be less than or equal to
PV Upper Range
.
PV Transfer Function
Specifies the transfer function used between the Loop Current and Primary Variable's digital value.
