Volume Flow
Damping
The damping makes it possible to damp the fluctuations of the measured values of the volume
flow rate:
- on the FLOWave display
- on the totalizers
- on the PLC inputs
The damping is not applied to the new measured value if the 2 following conditions are met:
- a Low, Medium or High damping level is active
- and the variation between 2 values that are measured one after the other is higher than 30 % (for example when charging the pipe or stopping the flow.)
Damping level | Response time |
|---|---|
None |
|
Low | 1 s |
Medium | 10 s |
High | 30 s |
Flow direction
By default, if the flow direction is opposite the arrow located on the front of the device,
the displayed flow rate values are negative. Change the flow direction to Reverse if you
want the device to display positive flow values.
Cut-off
If the absolute (and possibly damped) measured volume flow rate is less than the cut-off
value plus a hysteresis value, the volume flow rate value is set to 0:
- The display then shows a volume flow rate = 0.
- The outputs and the totalizers react as if the actual volume flow rate were equal to 0.
