Function
The Advanced Micro Controls Inc. 1200 resolver module is a high-speed resolver input module that resides in a ControlLogix chassis. The module supplies absolute position, tachometer, and fault diagnostic data to the controller. A brake monitoring feature is included for stamping press applications. The 1241 module is designed to operate with one single turn resolver. The 1242 module can be programmed to operate either with two single-turn resolver transducers or with a single dual resolver multi-turn transducer.
The 1241 module has the ability to monitor the stopping time of the resolver. When configured to use two single-resolver transducers, the 1242 module also has the ability to monitor the stopping time of channel 1. The module is compatible with all AMCI brushless resolvers and resolver transducers.
System Interface
Status, resolver position, resolver velocity (in RPM), and brake monitor data values are located in 32 bit Input tags. All commands and setup parameters are programmed with Message Instructions.

Field Interface
A 1241 module comes with two connectors.
- An eight pin connector for connecting to one single turn resolver
- A two pin brake input connector. This is a 10 to 30 Vdc isolated input that requires 10mA minimum to operate.
A 1242 module comes with two connectors that support two possible wiring configurations.
- A ten pin connector that for connecting to two single turn resolvers or one dual resolver multiturn transducer.
- A two pin brake input connector. This is a 10 to 30 Vdc isolated input that requires 10mA minimum to operate.
