Configuration

General

All module setup parameters, including Full Scale Count, Circular Offset, Linear Offset, Preset Value, Count Direction, Velocity Response Time, and Resolver Type are programmed using Message instructions.

The 1200 module stores its parameters through power-down in an EEPROM.

Add-On Profile (AOP)

The 1200 AOP provides automatic generation of module data types, Input and Output tags, and controller connections.

Generic Module Profile

Prior to the availability of the AOP, this module was supported by the 1756 Generic Module profile (1756-MODULE). When upgrading to the AOP from an existing project that used the generic profile, it will be necessary to delete the existing generic module profile (which includes generic tags) and any associated ladder logic prior to adding the AOP.
