Remove and Install the PE Jumper for Frame 5

Replace a PE jumper with kit catalog number SK-RM-JMPR1-F5. Follow these steps to remove and install the PE jumper.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. Remove the cover from the chassis. See Remove and Install the Frame 5 Cover.
  4. If present, record the jumper position (A) on the power circuit board; PE-IN or PE-OUT.
  5. If present, remove the PE jumper from the power circuit board.

  6. Install the PE jumper in the reverse order of removal. Verify that the PE jumper (A) is installed in the same position as it was before it was removed.
