UI scaling

UI scaling adjusts the size of interface elements and fonts at runtime by applying a scale factor. This change affects only the local machine and does not require restarting the application.

Overview

UI scaling changes the size of all interface elements displayed at runtime. The local size values of user interface objects and fonts multiply by the
Scale factor
. This adjustment applies only to the local machine and changes at runtime without restarting the application.
TIP: For native presentation engine sessions, the scale factor value saves with application files and applies to the project. For web presentation engine sessions, the scale factor value saves in browser local storage and applies to every runtime on a determined domain with a specified path.
The WebIde emulator cannot use the scale factor property for UI Sessions.
For more information on how to configure the UI scaling, see Change UI scaling.

Runtime behavior

When the scale factor value changes at runtime, the change applies immediately. At application startup, if a scale factor was previously set, runtime uses the device settings. Otherwise, the value found in the current
UISession
is used.
