New Features
- Time Zone Configuration: Introduced enhanced time zone configuration, allowing users to view and analyze Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs) in any selected time zone. This ensures that all data is displayed in the most relevant temporal context for accurate analysis, comparison, and reporting.
- Multi-Currency Energy Cost Roll-Up: Added support for multi-currency energy cost roll-ups, enabling users to configure applicable currencies and exchange rates in a centralized Global Currency Dashboard. Cost roll-ups are calculated using static, user-defined exchange rates to ensure transparent, and consistent currency conversions across all dashboards and reports.
- Automatic Roll-Up of Resource & Utility: Introduced automatic roll-up of electricity, water, steam, compressed air, and other resource and utility data, consolidating consumption and demand metrics into node-level dashboards. This provides aggregated visibility and consistent performance insights across all hierarchy levels.
- Dynamic Dashboard Widgets: Introduced dynamic show-and-hide behavior for Demand, Consumption, Production, and Intensity widgets across Site, Area, Work Center, Work Unit, and Meter dashboards. Dashboards now automatically adapt based on configured resources, utilities, production meters, and available data links—displaying only relevant widgets in a predefined sequence, maintaining layout consistency, and avoiding visualization of unconfigured or unavailable data.
- Consumption Units on Node-Level Dashboards: Added support for displaying configured consumption units directly on node-level dashboards. This enables accurate interpretation of values, easier comparisons across nodes, and more informed energy optimization and performance analysis.
Enhancements
- Consumption Tooltip Timestamp Visibility: Enhanced consumption charts to display date and time details on hover, dynamically formatted based on the selected time granularity, ensuring consistent tooltip behavior with demand charts and improving data interpretability across all node levels.
- Updated Color Palette: Refreshed the application’s color palette with a cohesive, modern scheme and improved contrast, enhancing visual consistency, accessibility, and overall user experience across theFactoryTalk® Energy Manager™application.
- Confirmation Message Standardization: Generalized confirmation messages to ensure consistent wording and behavior across the application.
- Virtual Meter Error Data Handling: Enhanced Virtual Meter processing to robustly handle null, zero, and missing data link scenarios by validating data availability, preserving zero values for calculations, ignoring invalid meters where applicable, and clearly indicating configuration and runtime issues through consistent error messages and visual indicators across graphs and meter configurations.
- Calorific Value Precision Enhancement: Extended the Calorific Value configuration to support up to six decimal places, enabling more precise data entry and calculations.
- Date Format Alignment in Charts: Standardized chart and trend date formats to display month names as text and dynamically adjust x-axis labels, improving consistency and readability across visualizations in the FactoryTalk Energy Manager application.
- User Role Alignment in FactoryTalk Hub: Updated user role management to align withFactoryTalk Huborganization roles, ensuring consistent and centralized permission handling across applications.
Fixed Anomalies
- Fixed an anomaly where the R Square (R²) value in the M&V project report did not match the value displayed in the application. [4944346]
- Fixed an anomaly where the Cost Donut Chart displayed incorrect and excessively high cost values that did not match the Total Costs widget and bar chart. [5379455]
- Fixed an anomaly where the application did not automatically assign the Project-Admin and Editor roles to users invited with the Organization Role Admin in FactoryTalk Hub, and the users did not appear with Admin privileges in FactoryTalk Energy Manager. [5424692]
- Fixed an issue where tooltips did not work in the expanded view. [5456750]
- Fixed an anomaly where the heatmap did not update based on the selected time scope and always displayed one day, even when users selected 15-minute or 1-hour intervals. [5456802]
- Fixed an anomaly where bar charts displayed inconsistent day and month granularity across meters for the same multi-month date range. [5468214]
- Fixed an anomaly where consumption chart tooltips did not show timestamps based on the selected time granularity. [5493120]
- Fixed an anomaly where changes to calorific values incorrectly affected consumption values in the donut and bar charts, while costs remained unchanged. [5549910]
- Fixed an anomaly where Top 5 widgets displayed water resources and included their values in harmonized energy, cost, and emission calculations at the enterprise and region levels. [5560125]
- Fixed an anomaly where emissions were calculated using harmonized energy instead of specific consumption, which resulted in incorrect emission values. [5562413]
- Fixed an anomaly where the heatmap did not align with the latest UX design. [5562467]
- Fixed an anomaly where the Emission and Cost charts were not renamed as intended. [5569077]
- Fixed an anomaly where reports did not display Donut and Bar charts. [5584677]
- Fixed an anomaly where gas costs were calculated incorrectly for some sites. [5593935]
