Hyperlinks

Equipment
includes up to five hyperlinks for each process cell, unit, and phase shown. In the diagram view, find the hyperlinks near the equipment icon.
Using the Equipment View Hyperlink feature with
FactoryTalk Batch View
requires changing the location of the files to link to the appropriate
FactoryTalk Batch View
directory.
TIP:
Define the hyperlink descriptors and defaults in the
FactoryTalk Administration Console Explorer
. Right-click an application or area name to either add a server or edit an existing one. To add a server, select
Add New Server

. Configure the hyperlinks in the
FactoryTalk Batch Services Properties
dialog

To create a hyperlink folder in the
FactoryTalk Batch View
directory
  1. In File Explorer, navigate to the
    FactoryTalk Batch View
    web root directory. If
    FactoryTalk Batch View
    is installed in the default location, the directory is:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\Batch View Server\customercontent
    .
  2. Create a new folder and enter a name for the folder (such as
    Project_Files
    ).
  3. Put the files to link in this folder.
  4. In
    FactoryTalk Batch Equipment Editor
    , make sure that the path configured for the hyperlink matches the directory path created in step 2 (such as
    customercontent/Project_Files/<file name>
    ).
  5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 if you are using more than one folder for hyperlink files (such as
    customercontent/Images
    and
    customercontent/Video
    ).
