Create a control recipe

Use
Batches
to add a control recipe from a master recipe. The
Batches
list displays control recipes that are ready to run, are running, or are complete.
To create a control recipe
  1. Select
    Batches
    .
  2. Select
    Add
    FTBVS_AddCtrlRecipeIcon.
  3. Select a master recipe.
  4. Enter a unique batch ID.
    TIP:
    The
    Batch ID
box accepts non-unique IDs. When duplicate batch IDs are used, it is difficult to associate prompts with the correct batch when viewed in Prompts.
  5. (optional) Perform any of the following:
    • To run a batch at a percentage other than 100%, in the
      Batch Scale
      box, enter the percentage.
    • To change the description of the batch, in the
      Description
      box, enter a new description.
    • If the recipe has a material class-based phase, select the material you want to use in this particular batch in
      Material Values
      .
    • Select the equipment for the control recipe in the
      Unit Bindings
      area.
    • To assign or change a formula value, enter new values in
      Formula Values
      .
    • Enumerations are sorted alphabetically or by ordinal, depending on the configuration of the
      FactoryTalk Batch View
      Server.
  6. Select
    Create
FTBV_CreateControlRecipe to add the control recipe to the
    Batches
    list.
    TIP:
    All recipes added to the
    Batches
list must be verified and validated. If a recipe is not validated, the
    FactoryTalk Batch
Server will generate an error in
    FactoryTalk Batch View
. The error includes the path to the recipe, which might be a child recipe.
