Inputs view parameters

TIP:
In the
Equivalent
safety input mode, channels in pair have the same configuration value (Channel 1 follows Channel 0 and Channel 3 follows Channel 2).

Indicates the channel to which the configuration applies to.
Point Mode
Specifies the point input mode for each channel. Valid values include:
  • Not Used
    (default)
  • Safety
  • Standard
Point Mode

Range
Specifies the input range for each input channel. Valid values include:
  • -10 to 10 V

Specifies the low engineering value for each channel. Valid values are from -30000 to 30000 (engineering units). The default value defaults to 0 when you change the

value.

Sensor Power Supply
Specifies how each sensor is powered. Valid values include:
  • External
  • Module
Tip: Select
Module
to supply power to the sensors connected to the Point Guard Analog Input device. This allows the device to detect a loss of sensor power.
IMPORTANT: When a channel is configured for the
Module
sensor power, a sensor power diagnostic is executed on the channel at power-up to make sure the sensor is operational and that it draws current within the half second interval of the test. The test also verifies that the channel is not over or under current.
