EDS File

The EDS file is used for identifying the module to network tools, such as RSNetWorx or a CIP (refer to "CIP" in Studio 5000 HELP) network browser (e.g. RSLinx Classic RSWho or FactoryTalk Linx Network Browser). The EDS file can be downloaded from the "SC website" and installed using the EDS Hardware Installation Tool. The EDS file is also embedded in the module and can be extracted by RSLinx Classic or FactoryTalk Linx.
