Sample Projects

The RSLogix5000 ladder logic Sample Projects for the 1756sc-IC32 module demonstrate how to perform auxiliary functions, such as Reset, Reconfigure, in addition to synchronous copy of data to or from user-defined tags. Synchronous copy would be used with the AOP when "block integrity” of the data is needed (see "Data” section above).

: The original Sample Projects for this module used the 1756 Generic Module profile. Please check the "SC website” for updated Sample Projects which use this custom Add-on-Profile.

Locating the Sample Projects

Some Sample Projects are installed with RSLogix5000. To locate them, select "Vendor Sample Projects" on the main RSLogix 5000 HELP menu. The latest version of the Sample Projects are also available from the "SC website”.

Using the Sample Projects

The Sample Projects can be used as a model for a separate application, as the start for a new project, or by copying or importing elements to another project. RSLogix5000 partial Import/Export can be used to add a sample project to an existing application project. This minimizes the number of user steps involved, and provides automatic checking and handling of conflicts with the existing project (e.g. duplicate tag names, etc.).
