IMPORTANT
safety recommendations in the "Owner’s Guide”. Power-up and diagnostics are explained in Chapter 9, "Testing Your Module”.
Status/Diagnostics
Built-in diagnostics and user-enabled alarms include:
  • Power up checks
  • Per-channel alarms: open-circuit (wire off), over/under-range, high/low-limit, rate
In addition to the LED display on the module, RSLogix5000 software indicates module fault conditions in the following three ways:
  • Warning signal on the main screen next to the module, when the IO connection is broken
  • Fault message in a screen’s status line, with notification in the Tag Editor. General module faults are also reported in the Tag Editor. Diagnostic faults are only reported in the Tag Editor.
  • Status on the Module Info Page
Refer to the "Owner’s Guide” for detailed information on status, diagnostics, error codes, and alarms.
Configuration Errors
If an invalid Configuration is sent to the module, a connection error will occur. Also, when a module has multiple "owners”, both controllers must have the same Configuration data for the module. Refer to the section on "Configuration”, above, for further explanation and error codes.
Module Reset
Refer to the "Configuration” section, above, for Reset methods.
Calibration
User calibration is not supported.
