1734sc-IF4U Configuration
Note
: The 1734sc-IF4u user manual, which is available online by following the hyperlink on the Vendor tab, provides additional configuration information for some of the parameters discussed in this help file.Channel Enable
Checking this box disables the configuration selections for the channel. When the box is unchecked, the remaining configuration selections for that channel are enabled. It is unchecked (enabled) by default.
Filter
The input filter selection allows you to select the filter frequency for each channel. Valid options are:
- 4 Hz
- 17 Hz
- 62 Hz
- 470 Hz
The filter frequency is set to 17 Hz by default.
Open Circuit Response
This selection defines the state of the channel’s data word when an open circuit condition is detected on the corresponding channel. Valid options are:
- Upscale
- Downscale
- Last State
- Zero
The default value is Upscale.
Input Type
The Input Type selection indicates the type of input device on the channel. Valid options are:
- 4 to 20 mA
- 0 to 20 mA
- -10 to 10 V
- 0 to 10 V
- 1 to 5 V
- 0 to 5 V
- -100 to 100 mV
- -50 to 50 mV
- Type J thermocouple
- Type K thermocouple
- Type T thermocouple
- Type E thermocouple
- 100 ohm Pt 385
- 1000 ohm Pt 385
- 100 ohm Pt 3916
- 1000 ohm Pt 3916
- 3000 ohm
- CJC ohm
The default value of the input type is -10 to 10 V.
Note
: Channels configured for RTD3/4 wire or resistance modes must be set up in an adjacent pair (channels 0 and 1, 2 and 3), with the settings for the second channel in the pair exactly matching the first.Note
: CJC input type is available only for Channel 0.Note
: Up to three Thermocouple input types can be selected.Data Format
This selection configures each channel to present analog data in one of the following formats:
- Engineering Units X1
- Engineering Units X10
- Raw/Proportional
- Scaled for PID
The data format is set to Engineering Units X1 by default.
Select 2/3/4-Wire RTD
Select 2/3/4 wire RTD on the associated channel.
The default setting is 3-wire.
Note
: The 2/3/4-Wire RTD selection is only active when the channel’s input type is set to an RTD or resistance mode. Otherwise, the control is inactive and will be grayed out.Temp Units (°)
The Temp Units parameter sets the temperature units of the channel to either degrees Celsius (C) or degrees Fahrenheit (F). The default is degrees Celsius. This selection is applied to the appropriate channel only if the data format selected is Engineering Units X1 or Engineering Units X10.
Note
: The Temp Units control is only active when the channel’s input type is set to a thermocouple or RTD mode. Otherwise, the control is inactive and will be grayed out.Provide Feedback
