Create a Motor object type and object instances

Create sample Motor object data to populate the list box and gauges.
  1. In
    Project view
    , right-click
    Model
    and select
    New
    Object
    .
  2. Hover-over the object, select
    Edit
    , and enter
    Motor
    .
  3. Add and configure variables:
    1. In
      Properties
      , at the top, add two variables by selecting
      Add
      and selecting
      Variable
      .
    2. Rename the variables by hovering-over each variable, selecting
      Edit
      , and entering:
      • Speed
      • Acceleration
  4. Convert the Model object into an object type:
    1. In
      Type view
      , double-click
      Model
      .
    2. From
      Project view
      , drag
      Motor
      into
      Type view
      .
  5. Create and organize Motor object instances:
    1. In
      Project view
      , right-click the
      Model
      folder and select
      New
      Folder
      .
    2. Hover-over the folder, select
      Edit
      , and enter
      MotorObjects
      .
    3. In
      Project view
      , drag
      Motor
      into the
      MotorObjects
      folder.
    4. Create nine Motor object instances by dragging
      MotorType
      from the
      Type view
      pane into the
      MotorObjects
      folder in the
      Project view
      pane.
  6. Configure each Motor instance:
    1. In
      Project view
      , select a motor.
    2. In
      Properties
      , set the
      Acceleration
      and
      Speed
      properties values.
      You can enter any values of the valid type.
      For example, enter:
      Property
      Value
      Acceleration
      1
      Speed
      11
