Open the code editor

Open the code editor to view and edit the code for
FactoryTalk Design Studio
 elements.
IMPORTANT:
Changing the name of any object using the code editor does not change all references to that object.
To open the code editor:
  1. In
    FactoryTalk Design Studio
    , open a routine.
  2. Select CodeEditorIcon
    Code editor
     to open the code editor.
You can also right-click an element and open the code editor:
  1. In the
    Explorer
    pane, select System Icon
    System
    , Devices Icon
    Devices
    ,
    Execution
    , or
    Library
     to display elements.
  2. Right-click an element and select
    Code editor
    .
