Use the Filters check boxes

Use the
Module Type Category Filters
 and
Module Type Vendor Filters
 check boxes to locate a specific module type. This example is based on searching for a 1756 diagnostic input module that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley but not knowing the actual catalog number, which is 1756-IA8D. Use the check boxes in the
Module Type Category Filters
 box and the
Module Type Vendor Filters
 box to narrow the list of modules.
To use the filters check boxes
  1. In the
    Select Module type
     dialog box,
    Catalog
     tab, in the
    Module Type Category Filters
    list, clear the
    Communication
    and
    Controller
    check boxes, knowing that the 1756-IA8D module is not in one of these categories.
  2. Leave all the check boxes selected in the
    Module Type Vendors Filters
     list.
  3. Right-click the
    1756-IA8D
    module in the Catalog Results list and select
    Create
    .
    TIP: Another option is to select the module and then select
    Create
    .
