SIL Level Match

FactoryTalk® Design Studio™

validates the Safety Level set in the Safety Controller Profile against the safety level of the controller that you are deploying the safety application to.

If a SIL level mismatch occurs, an error shows and you cannot deploy the safety application. You must reconfigure the safety application to match the safety controller you are deploying to, or deploy the safety application to a controller with a matching safety configuration.
