Channel0x Diagnostics dialog box
How do I open the Channel0x Diagnostics dialog box?
- In theDiagnosticsis disabled when:
- You are operating offline.
- An identity mismatch exists.
Controller Organizer, expand theI/O Configurationfolder, and double-click the module. - In theModule Propertiesdialog box, expandChannels.
- Click aCh0x, and then clickDiagnostics.
The
Channel0x Diagnostics
dialog box includes these parameters:Parameter | Description | Value |
Fault Exists | Shows whether a fault is present on the module. | None Present |
Data Uncertain | Shows the module is operating outside the designed operating range, or data is under manual or override control. | No Yes |
Field Power | Shows whether field power is present on the channel. | Not present Present |
Short Circuit Fault | Shows whether a short circuit or over-current fault (greater current at an output than the maximum current level the channel can handle) is present on the channel. | None Present |
No Load Fault | Shows whether a no load fault (a signal wire is disconnected from the output or the RTB is removed from the module) is present on the channel. | None Present |
Open Wire Fault | Shows whether an open wire fault (an output wire is disconnected) is present on the channel. | None Present |
Fault Timestamp (Short Circuit, No Load, Open Wire, Over Temperature Last Fault) | Shows the timestamp of the fault in YYYY-MM-DD-HH:mm:SS.mmm format.
| A valid time or None if there is no recorded event time. |
Module Over Temperature Fault | Shows whether the module is operating at a higher temperature than its operating limits. | None Present |
Range | Shows the range for the most recently calibrated channel. | -10 V to 10 V 0 V to 5 V 0 V to 10 V 1 V to 5 V 0 mA to 20 mA 4 mA to 20 mA -100 mV to 100 mV 1 Ohm to 500 Ohm 2 Ohm to 1000 Ohm 4 Ohm to 2000 Ohm 8 Ohm to 4000 Ohm |
Gain | Shows the channel calibration gain from the last valid calibration. | 32-bit floating point value |
Offset | Shows the channel calibration offset from the last valid calibration. | 32-bit floating point value |
Refresh communications | Updates the data displayed on the dialog box. |
