Doing Well By Doing Good: Does Supplier Diversity Really Matter?

The expression “doing well by doing good,” has become a common refrain among socially conscious businesses, and now there is also a growing body of research that shows companies with socially responsible business practices are more profitable. Increasingly, businesses are focusing on supplier diversity, the practice drawing from a diverse supplier base, including small businesses owned by women and people of color.
