Schedule Output Without Using MAOC
If you are not using MAOC instructions for scheduled output, you must adjust
O.TimeBase
manually to create schedule entries. With a specific TimeBase, the
schedule time offset is up to ±2.14 seconds. For example:
- An application gets five schedules to send to Module M.Current Time = 9:10:05.000000000TimeBase = 9:11:08.000000000Schedules to send =
- 9:10:20.000000000
- 9:10:22.000000000
- 9:10:23.000000000
- 9:10:24.000000000
- 10:10:23.000000000
- Set TimeBase to 9:10:22.000000000 and send schedule a (with TimeOffset as -2 seconds), b (with TimeOffset as 0 seconds), and c (with TimeOffset as 1 second) to Module M.
- Wait until sequence number of a, b, c are echoed back by Module M. Set TimeBase to 9:10:24.000000000 and send d (with TimeOffset as 0 seconds) to Module M.
- Wait until sequence number of d is echoed back by Module M. Set TimeBase to 10:10:23.000000000 and send schedule e to Module M.
IMPORTANT:
Once the schedule entries that are based on the current TimeBase are echoed back
with the same sequence numbers by the module (this typically happens within 2
RPIs from new sequence numbers are set in the output tag), a new TimeBase can be
set to incorporate new schedule entry creations.
IMPORTANT:
Always set Schedule[x].SequenceNumber as the last step of Schedule[x] entry
creation in the output tag.
IMPORTANT:
You can monitor Schedule[x].State in the input tag to verify that the schedule is
performed correctly.
