Enter a communications driver and path manually

If a communications driver is not in the
Communications > Network Browser
 communication software network topology, enter the driver and path manually.
To enter a communications driver and path manually
  1. At the top of the
    Communications > Network Browser
     dialog, right-click the
    Network Browser
     title bar and select
    Advanced
    .
  2. In the
    Driver and Path Configuration
     dialog, select the
    Driver
    list and select a driver.
    TIP: If the current driver name appears in quotes, the device is not a running driver. Open the
    Network Browser
     dialog and configure the driver.
  3. Enter the CIP path to the desired controller, and click
    OK
    to accept the entry.
    TIP: The
    Network Browser
     topology displays manually-entered driver paths after they are saved. They appear wherever the current path normally displays, with the driver and path concatenated, such as AB_KTC-1\2,6,1,0.
