Add Communications Device to Controller

To add a communications device to a controller, follow these steps:
  1. In
    Devices
     explorer, right-click the backplane and select
    Add device...
  2. In the
    Assign devices to
    dialog, under
    Category filter
    , select
    Communication
    .
  3. Select a device from the list, and under
    Devices to assign
    , choose the number of devices to add to the chassis.
    Select a communication device.
  4. Select
    Continue
    .
  5. Under
    Pending to configure
    , enter the device name, Slot number, and Ethernet address.
    Enter communication device information.
  6. Select
    Finish
     to add the device.
The device appears in the
Devices
 explorer.
