Best Future Machine Award winners to be announced May 4
MILWAUKEE — As consumers demand more variety, manufacturers need flexible and connected systems to accommodate smaller batch sizes, tighter lead times, and frequently changing packaging concepts. At interpack 2017, May 4 to 10 in Düsseldorf, Germany, visitors to the Rockwell Automation stand (hall 6/stand A61) will see the next generation of smart solutions that can help manufacturers build systems to support these demands. Several machine builders will also be displaying these solutions in action throughout the show floor.
For example, smart motion systems from MagneMotion, a Rockwell Automation company, replace rigid mechanical systems with programmable independent movers. Visitors can see how the MagneMover LITE and iTRAK systems allow manufacturers to conduct toolless changeovers with the push of a button and increase production speed by 15 to 30 percent over mechanical systems.
Visitors will also see the benefits of using a single plantwide control and network infrastructure to help create a Connected Enterprise. They will be able to speak with industry specialists about how the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture portfolio with corresponding software solutions can support greater IT/OT security, higher levels of safety, and easier system upgrades. Multiple, complementary packaging solutions will also be on display, including leading serialization solutions.
