Workstation Functionality

The ControlLogix®, Motion, and Integrated Architecture Educational Workstation provides a comprehensive platform for teaching advanced industrial automation concepts within a modern Integrated Architecture® environment. Combining a ControlLogix® 5580 controller, Kinetix® 5700 motion system, PowerFlex® 525 AC drive, FLEX 5000™ I/O, industrial Ethernet networking, and operator interface technologies, the workstation enables learners to configure, program, operate, and troubleshoot multi-discipline control systems using hardware commonly deployed in manufacturing and processing applications.

Training Purpose

The workstation is designed to help learners develop advanced automation skills through hands-on experience with integrated control, distributed I/O, industrial networking, motion control, variable frequency drives, machine operation, and system diagnostics. Students gain practical experience configuring and programming a complete Integrated Architecture solution while developing the skills required to commission, maintain, optimise, and troubleshoot complex automation systems used in modern industrial facilities.
