Workstation Functionality

The Compact GuardLogix® Safety Demonstration Workstation provides a portable platform for demonstrating integrated machine safety, standard control, and visualization technologies within a CompactLogix™ architecture. Combining a Compact GuardLogix® 5380 controller, safety I/O, standard I/O, and a PanelView™ 5510 graphic terminal, the workstation enables users to explore safety and control applications while experiencing the benefits of an integrated safety solution using EtherNet/IP™ communications.

Training Purpose

The workstation is designed to help users understand the implementation of integrated safety and control solutions using Compact GuardLogix® technology. Through hands-on demonstrations, users can gain experience with safety controller configuration, standard and safety I/O integration, operator interface development, system diagnostics, and EtherNet/IP™ communications while learning how integrated architectures can simplify machine design, operation, and maintenance.
