Download dialog - General tab parameters

This table describes the parameters on the
Download dialog - General
 tab. Use the
General
 tab to confirm a project download.
TIP: The
Download Project Documentation and Extended Properties
 check box and the
Download Custom Properties
 check box are located on the
Project
 tab on the
Controller Properties
 dialog.
Clearing the
Download Project Documentation and Extended Properties
 check box causes this message to appear on the
Download
 dialog:
  • Project documentation, extended and custom properties will not be downloaded.
Clearing the
Download Custom Properties
 check box causes this message to appear on the
Download
 dialog:
  • Custom properties will not be downloaded.
If the check boxes were cleared by mistake, click
Cancel
 to return to the
Project
 tab on the
Controller Properties
 dialog and select the check boxes before downloading the project.
Parameter
Description
Name
The name of the controller connected to the
Logix Designer
 application. If the controller has no name, then <no name> appears in this box. A controller with no name does not contain a project. A controller is in this state if these conditions apply:
  • Power cycled without adequate energy storage.
  • Program experienced a major non-recoverable fault and program discarded.
  • Firmware update.
  • Project never downloaded.
Type
The catalog number and description of the controller.
Path
The name of the communications path that is being used to communicate with the controller.
Serial Number
The serial number of the controller.
Security Authority
The security authority bound to the controller. Refer to help in the
Controller Properties
dialog,
Security
tab, for instructions on configuring a security authority.
Enable Time Synchronization
Enables clock synchronization across distributed devices.
Download
Downloads the project file to the controller.
