Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3

Activate

To get started, all you need to do is redeem your trial entitlements. You will receive two 90-day entitlements, one for FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro and one for FactoryTalk Optix Runtime XL.

In the email you received, you will see a trial link for a bundle of FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro and FactoryTalk Optix Runtime XL.

Click on the REDEEM MY TRIAL button in the email you received - this will take you to the FactoryTalk Hub home page.
Click the SIGN IN button and login with your credentials.
Click on the REDEEM NOW button - this will take you to the View Entitlements page.
Verify that you have a FactoryTalk Optix entitlement bundle available on the Trials tab. (Flip from Trials to All Entitlements to refresh the list if you don’t see your trial listed.)

Allocate

In order for you to use your FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro and FactoryTalk Optix Runtime trial, the entitlements must be allocated to an organization. This unlocks the FactoryTalk Optix tile in FactoryTalk Hub (if not already unlocked) so you can begin to use the product.

If you already have an organization created that you want to allocate your entitlement to, you can skip this step. If you don’t have an organization created, follow these instructions:
- From the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the Factory Talk Hub, select the ‘Organizations’ option.
- Click the ‘+Create organization’ button.
- Enter the information for your organization, then click ‘Create’.
You are now ready to allocate your entitlements.
- From the hamburger menu, select ‘View entitlements’. Open the ‘Trials’ tab.
- Select the FactoryTalk Optix trial from the ‘Your Available Trials’ list, then click ‘Allocate’.

Access

One more step to using your trial entitlements.

From the hamburger menu, click ‘Applications’. Confirm that the organization you allocated the entitlements to is selected, then open the FactoryTalk Optix tile.
Open the Entitlements tab and choose My Entitlement. Select Activate Entitlement to assign the trial entitlement to your account.
Launch FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro in browser on the Releases tab or download and run it locally.

From the hamburger menu, click ‘Applications’. Confirm that the organization you allocated the entitlements to is selected, then open the FactoryTalk Optix tile.
Open the Entitlements tab and choose Organization Entitlements. Your trial is displayed. Follow the steps in the FactoryTalk Optix Installation Guide to activate your runtime entitlement on a Windows or Ubuntu 22 device.
