toolbar. Additionally, you can add the element to the workspace and then connect it at a later time. Or, select an existing element in the diagram and then add the element, which automatically creates a link between the elements if they are in a valid structure.

All connection methods require the elements to be in a valid structure before creating links. For example, a link cannot be created directly between two steps — there must be a transition between the steps.
